We have heard you loud and clear! You are not voting for Obama.

Some of you have said that you are;
voting a third party, or
writing Hillary's name in, or
staying home on election day.

But many of you said that you're voting for McCain/Palin to clear the path for Hillary to run again in 2012.

Women's Hall Of Shame Club?

Women’s Hall of Shame Club

Another Rant by: BettyJean Kling

DNC proves Civil Rights abuse of women.

The DNC continues to use Hillary Clinton to promote Barack Obama and to fight for his candidacy and encourage women to vote for him full well knowing that this is causing women to loose faith in her by making her look like a victim. It sure looks like Hillary’s loyalty to party over sisterhood is exceeded only by her betrayal to country by placing Party over democracy. She was in it to win it! When she said she would fight for us – we believed her – If she now begs us to vote for him and we can’t – well the more they force her – the more we balk. The problem is not only did they take Hillary out of the 2008 election they are now taking her out of the 2012 election as well.

We have forever lost the best candidate we had, the best chance the DNC had to legally recover the White House, but she has been needlessly sacrificed. Perhaps it was the only way she could find to create the change that needs to follow. It is her choice - as much as I hate to admit it, perhaps this stark demonstration of the abuse of women’s rights is what we need to wake us up.

By allowing herself to be sacrificed she has shown us that women in American are undervalued even - or perhaps in spite being smarter, and more qualified. Hillary has shown that sexism exists and that women’s rights are being violated daily all across America, she was not only mistreated and told to suck it up, her mistreatment was ignored and she was humiliated if she showed any signs of self defense, she was ridiculed if anyone came to her defense and now she is being forced to defend her abusers.

Three cheers for the Republican’s who came to her defense more than once then sought another women for a high position as VP and illuminated for us that Hillary was not a rare occurrence but a reminder of what had happened twenty-four years ago when they tried to run the first female VP, Gerri Ferraro in 1984. Oh it was made abundantly clear when Gov. Palin was nominated as VP and found herself inducted in to the Hall of Shame Club where three strikes and they hope all women will be out of the running for top positions in the old boy’s Club in the USA.forevermore.

She may never be President - but she will always be the woman that proved Sexism was the reason why not!

As for Sarah, Hillary will have made it impossible for them to get away with this again without a fight. She will have made it impossible because of her struggle and sacrifice to show us that women are mistreated and this mistreatment is no less than a violation of human rights.

America's women and America's men along with them must stand up to the Democrat Party and say - NO! We will not treat our women this way nor will we accept this kind of government- We must turn our backs on this party in order to break them once and for all . Break them and either resurect them anew or start a new party - this one is done! No party can ignore half of it's population and survive!

I guess Obama intends to win this by any means possible and he appears to have the help of the entire Democrat Party- unless that is - we stop them! Where are the Carter folks now? They have been overseeing elections in third world countries haven’t we degraded enough to warrant their attention? I believe we’re there now!

Gov. Blunt Says Obama Campaign’s Abusive Use of Missouri Law Enforcement

--- For some Hillary supporters, particularly if you live in a caucus state, you may not be at all surprised by this. After all, he did encourage his supporters from the stump to go out there and get in their faces.

JEFFERSON CITY - Gov. Matt Blunt today issued the following statement on news reports that have exposed plans by U.S. Senator Barack Obama to use Missouri law enforcement to threaten and intimidate his critics.

“St. Louis County Circuit Attorney Bob McCulloch, St. Louis City Circuit Attorney Jennifer Joyce, Jefferson County Sheriff Glenn Boyer, and Obama and the leader of his Missouri campaign Senator Claire McCaskill have attached the stench of police state tactics to the Obama-Biden campaign.

“What Senator Obama and his helpers are doing is scandalous beyond words, the party that claims to be the party of Thomas Jefferson is abusing the justice system and offices of public trust to silence political criticism with threats of prosecution and criminal punishment.

“This abuse of the law for intimidation insults the most sacred principles and ideals of Jefferson. I can think of nothing more offensive to Jefferson’s thinking than using the power of the state to deprive Americans of their civil rights. The only conceivable purpose of Messrs. McCulloch, Obama and the others is to frighten people away from expressing themselves, to chill free and open debate, to suppress support and donations to conservative organizations targeted by this anti-civil rights, to strangle criticism of Mr. Obama, to suppress ads about his support of higher taxes, and to choke out criticism on television, radio, the Internet, blogs, e-mail and daily conversation about the election.

“Barack Obama needs to grow up. To read more click here

The Shock Doctrine

-The Shock Doctrine
by Noami Klein

Though Naomi Klein is on the left her thesis touches the Truth. That special interests will use these crises to push through drastic changes which will usurp our People power, transfer wealth to themselves from our pockets and leave the nation weaker all the time.

As we are watching, the Dems are the culprits of the policy, the Repubs are the culprits of the governing regulating agencies, and the greedy will walk. But things will be changed. And that is the goal for all these ruling elite groups. They sneak through the fine print which alters our lives for decades and robs us for generations with each Shock to the System. By the time we get the information we will be trying to change what no longer exists. This is the power shell game they play with us. The Shock Doctrine tells the story

Read enough of this to understand that both parties are going to use this crisis for their own goals, while escaping responsibility.

Only John McCain and Sarah Palin will give us some hope of systemic reform to clean out all this corruption.

Let's Keep People In their Homes

- as PUMA Pac put it... Senator Obama, in an unsurprising show of non-existent leadership, has already signaled that he will NOT push for legislation that may ease the burden and anxiety on working and middle class Americans.

By HILLARY RODHAM CLINTON

There is a broad consensus that Congress must act to stave off deeper turmoil on Wall Street. Irrespective of the final agreement yet to be reached, there are several principles that must be part of a broader reform effort that begins this week and continues in the coming months.

This is not just a financial crisis; it's an economic crisis. Therefore, the solutions we pursue cannot simply stabilize the markets. We must also deal with the interconnected economic challenges that set the stage for this crisis -- and reverse the failed policies that allowed a potential crisis to become a real one.

First, we must address the skyrocketing rates of mortgage defaults and foreclosures that have buffeted the economy and ignited the credit crisis. Two million homeowners carry mortgages worth more than their homes. They hold $3 trillion in mortgage debt. Nearly three million adjustable-rate mortgages are scheduled for a rate increase in the next two years. Another wave of foreclosures looms.

I've proposed a new Home Owners' Loan Corporation (HOLC), to launch a national effort to help homeowners refinance their mortgages. The original HOLC, launched in 1933, bought mortgages from failed banks and modified the terms so families could make affordable payments while keeping their homes. The original HOLC returned a profit to the Treasury and saved one million homes. We can save roughly three times that many today. We should also put in place a temporary moratorium on foreclosures and freeze rate hikes in adjustable-rate mortgages. We've got to stem the tide of failing mortgages and give the markets time to recover.

PRINCIPLE OVER POLICY

- I believe President Clinton mentioned fellow PUMA, Lynette Long, on the View. Well here is her latest blog...

PRINCIPLE OVER POLICY
by Lynette Long

People wonder how I could vote Republican when I am a lifelong Democrat and I don’t agree with the Republicans on many key issues. This election I’m voting on Principle over Policy and Patriotism over Promises. Politicians pander to the electorate to win votes. Obama is no different. I don’t care what he says he is going to do for America, as my grandmother used to say, “Talk is Cheap.” What I care more about is “Who is Barack Obama?” and “What has the Democratic Party become?” So in a clear effort to explain my position, here are 14 reasons I will not vote for Obama, my party’s nominee.

The Chairperson of the Democratic National Committee has never been a woman. How can I support a party that is primarily composed on women but run by men?

Obama sat for 20 years inside Trinity United Church of Christ which exposes Black Liberation Theology and listened to Rev. Wright his mentor trash America and white Americans. How can I support a candidate that goes to a church that preaches hatred in any form?

Obama casts himself as a candidate of change but he is an old Chicago-style politician. He won his first State Senate race by eliminating all other candidates on technicalities and his U.S. Senate race by opening the sealed divorce file of his opponent and forcing his opponent to withdraw. How can I vote for a candidate who is not who is says he is?

The Democratic Party was silent to the rampant sexism that occurred during the primary process. How can I support a party that did not acknowledge the rampant sexism in the campaign and consequently ignored me as a woman? read more here

Obama vs. Biden

Obama vs. Biden

Obama has clearly stated his position and is on record, in many places as being for clean coal technology. Biden has a long standing record as well for being against it. So why are these two out on the campaign trail promising both?

Is Biden getting ready to get himself thrown under the bus?

Biden's opposition to clean coal is not new and there is no rule in politics stating a vice presidential candidate must agree with the presidential candidate for their party on every issue that faces them, however, the statement "We’re not supporting clean coal," implies he is speaking for the campaign in direct contradiction of Barack Obama.

Joe Biden, in the following video responds to an anti-pollution supporter about clean coal saying "We’re not supporting clean coal." And further included statements about China polluting our air with their coal plants, he states, "No coal plants here in America," he then goes on to say "Build them, if they're going to build them, over there. Make them clean," and "We’re not supporting clean coal."

President Clinton refers to JustSayNoDeal member on The View

-For_Immediate_Release:

United States of America (Press Release) September 23, 2008 -- (ONLINE AND NATIONWIDE)—

President Bill Clinton cited one of our own Just Say No Deal Coalition members Dr. Lynette Long — while discussing his view on voting practices with The View panel—inferring that there is nothing wrong or misguided with those Democrats who
plan to vote for John McCain in November:

“You can’t tell someone else that the grounds on which they make their voting decision is irrational… We can’t tell anybody that they don’t know what they’re doing because they voted for 'X' candidate instead of 'Y,'"states President Clinton.
We agree Mr. President;Country Before Party.

Just Say No Deal is receiving an onslaught of messages from members, old and new,
emphatically stating their refusal to support the Democratic nominee. Many view Bill Clinton's statement as permission to vote for John McCain. "Senator Obama does not have the experience, knowledge and passion to lead this country,"declares Normita Fenn, a staunch Hillary supporter from California, now voting for John McCain.

As we see it, there are only two candidates left standing and we won't be voting for Senator Barack Obama. That said, not all coalition members will be voting the McCain/Palin ticket. "I am not voting for a President in November," says Prameela
Bartholomeusz, who is open to assisting the McCain campaign. "Sen. Clinton is still the best choice for President, in my mind. I believe Sen. McCain recognizes Sen. Clinton's strengths and will reach out to her for the sake of our great nation, if he is elected. He will reach across the aisle and address the serious issues facing our country, more effectively (than Sen. Obama)." The DNC Platform Committee member is appalled that her party would risk forfeiting 16 years of a Democrat in the White House, by selecting an inexperienced candidate.

Women Count- Revisited

Women Count- Revisited

Another Rant by: Bettyjean Kling

Hopefully, you all remember that last week I challenged ‘Women Count’ to cease leaning toward Left or risk losing our support. I challenged them to count all of us- whether we are left, right or center and stop pigeon holing us by assuming we all need to be reminded that while we do not want Sarah Palin spoken ill of she still has Issues that Women Count assumes they have to alert us about! How dare they point these positions out for us as if to say these are OUR positions or OUR ONLY issues? We can think for ourselves – we do not want Women Count or anyone else reminding us what issues make any particular woman a 'no no'. What are we mindless idiots? By count did they mean numbers on the democratic ticket? I thought women count meant we count as viable human beings, count for who we are and how valuable we are just for being women just as we are, not right or left or a number on a ballot. Were you trying to empower us as women or as Democrats ?

“Much will be said and written in the days ahead about Gov. Palin’s views on issues, and we urge you to consider these positions with depth and thoughtfulness - she is anti-choice, pro-gun, and pro-big oil.” ~ Women Count’

Well that argument may be moot now at least for outward appearances but let us not be fooled based on what was last week and their failure to admit why the change of heart – I say we be vigilant. In other words – I want to se deeds not just words. Show me the beef!

We know what we’ve got, but not what we’ll get!

We know what we’ve got, but not what we’ll get!

Another Rant by BettyJean Kling

As Democrats we have been told a million reasons why we can not vote Republican and we all hate George Bush – I know. But JMCC is so many steps up from Bush and Obama is so many steps down. We do not have a Democrat to vote for this year – we have a Republican and a do nothing Congress and their hand picked Obamacrat. This is a no brainer – pick the Republican at least we know what we’ve got in McCain.

We may not always agree with McCain – I don’t -- but I know where he stands and I know he would and has laid down his life for his country. He has gone up against his own party , he has stood up to his president , he has risked his life and his job for his principles and has always looked out for what he thought right or wrong was the right thing to do for the country. He has listened and changed his mind on issued that the people urged him to represent the people on. He chose a women maverick VP against all odds.

As for Obama, if the way he gamed the caucus’s is any indication of how he would run the country – no thanks, if how he and his campaign treats non Obamabots is any indication of how he treats American Citizens who are not his Obots is any indication – no thanks. If the way he gives speeches by teleprompter but can’t answer a question on the fly any indication of his readiness – I’ll pass. If the way they treat women is the change they are proposing – no way. If he couldn’t beat Hillary fair and square and then did not even consider her for VP – what does that tell you about his insecurity and common sense? If lying, cheating, stealing and having the entire democratic system brought to its knees on May 31 wasn’t enough, pulling the roll call fiasco in Denver shows this has become the Undemocratic Party and does not deserve our precious vote.

And finally, Obama has pulled the race card and blamed it on the Clintons. He has the media in his pocket and they have displayed blatant sexism toward Hillary and now Sarah. This obvious and hateful sexism amounts to nothing less than a woman’s rights, civil rights and human rights violation to which the Democratic Party, and the women’s groups and the civil right s groups did nothing. The Republican Party and John Mc Cain, to their credit, specifically except for one early lapse in judgment stood up against the ridicule of Hillary and does not tolerate any sexism against Sarah. This is not Bush this is John McCain and this Obama well who is this Obama?

Keep The Change

-by Nicholas Stone

You guys, I can't do it. I can't bring myself to vote for Obama.

I watch him and I try to be open minded. I listen to him, and I try to make sense of his abstract rhetoric. I see him, and I try hard not to see an elitist pig. I hear him, and I try to hear what he's going to do for me.

And I think about whether or not he'd be a better leader for our country, until I remember him voting 130 times "Present" in the Illinois Senate. And I remember his silence against a bill that allowed live fetuses to be thrown in the trash, a practice that even NARAL doesn't condone. And I remember that the basic question of life is above his pay grade. And I remember that even this week, he refused to give his opinion in corporate bail-outs in the face of economic ruin. What other tough questions will he avoid? If he won't make hard decisions for fear of angering someone, is he really standing up for anyone?!

And time and time again, I remember

Obama conceds on his view of the Iraq War

- This is interesting. Throughout the primaries Obama touted that he didn't vote for the war. This brought a lot of people over to support him based on this. He has based his campaign inside a "negative". I believe this is what has Obama supporters so negative. What do you think?

Obama and Fannie Mae

- So let me get this straight. We, the taxpayers, are bailing out Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac and Obama was #2 in contributions from these folks? Am I missing something? Is this the guy who says he can handle our economy... er... lead this country?

OMG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In 2005, Obama knew Fannie Mae was failing but takes payoffs anyway. And Obama said he could fix the problem. DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR? Now three year later, taxpayers are paying for this?

Women's Group Condemns NOW

- Wooooooooooo Hooooooooooooo ~ these are my kind of women. Progressive and real tired of the women's movements speaking for women~ especially when they endorse a candidate that demonstrated a whole lotta sexism and disrespect during the primaries.

From the Washington Post

Women's Group Condemns NOW Endorsement of Obama

By Garance Franke-Ruta

A group of Hillary Clinton supporters condemned the National Organization for Women's endorsement of Sens. Barack Obama and Joe Biden earlier this week.

"The New Agenda is concerned that NOW's recent endorsement of Barack Obama leaves many women in this country out in the cold," the nonpartisan nonprofit group said in a release Friday. "The endorsement seems all the more puzzling given the fact that the Republican Party is running its first female candidate for Vice-President, Gov. Sarah Palin, and the Green Party is fielding its first all-woman presidential ticket with Cynthia McKinney and Rosa Clemente."

The New Agenda points out that since its 1966 founding, NOW has previously endorsed at the presidential level only four times -- and each time there was a woman on the ticket: Shirley Chisolm in the 1972 Democratic primary; Democrats Walter Mondale and Geraldine Ferraro for the 1984 general election; Carol Mosely Braun in the 2003 Democratic primary; and Hillary Rodham Clinton in the 2008 Democratic primary.

Women Against Women

-
By Bettyjean Kling

Dear Betty…to think that you would vote for Mcain just because Hillary did not get in is appalling. How could you as a woman want to possibly see Palin in office at all? She will set women’s rights back 5o years. I know you are disapointed about Hillary. alot of us are but it’s time to get over it and move on. Please do not send me anymore emails as we are not on the same page. I wish you alot of luck and my prayers continue for your daughter.

I want to thank you for the prayers for my daughter – prayers are always welcomed and one who prays will surely be led by God in all ways, we hope! Below you will find my reply- It will seem extreme, – it is. I have taken much time away from my daughter with her permission as we both believe our country is worth it.

We both want our lives to mean something or else we would have come and left nothing behind- hence you will notice great passion in my response. I hope you will understand that passion is not meant to be an attack on you but on what I consider to be your

misconceptions and talking point accusations. Thanks you for your prayers and I hope you take in my reply the passion and love of country that I penned it.

I will honor your request to remove you from the list however, I can not and will not let your comments and questions go unanswered.

1- What in God’s good name makes you think I am voting for McCain as you claim? “just because Hillary did not get in”

I have repeatedly said over and over and over again that this is not about Hillary. And to say that Hillary did not get in is laughable- Hillary was pushed out and Obama was carried in. But what I argue today with you is your choice to cling to the premise that is my voting for McCain because Hillary did not get in as you phrased it. I take umbrage that you make such an accusation. Can you please explain to me what right you have to twist my reasons into Obama talking points? Have you read my heart wrenching writings about what the Democrat party has become? Have you read about what this party has done to voters - delegates and others? Have you paid attention to the way they have stripped away voter’s rights via threats and intimidation? Do you care about the future of our country? Can you get over the Hillary part of this and focus on what is still going on and how he is running the campaign and how that bodes for how he would run the government and how dangerous that is?

Democratic group gathers to say No to Obama!

Supporters of Hillary Rodham Clinton, from across the country, will hold a press conference to announce the Kick Off to their Nation Wide Pre Election initiative to defeat Senator Obama.
The press conference will be held on Friday, September 26th at the Capital Rotunda located in Harrisburg Pennsylvania and will promptly begin at 11 a.m.

Democracy In Suffrage, a newly formed non profit political action group, will be hosting this event, and its founder Ms. Je’Amour P. Matthew states that “not only will this press conference launch Democracy In Suffrage’s first political action but she is hoping that other’s who supported Hillary will now find there voice, and declare their support for the initiative to defeat Senator Obama by holding similar pre-election press conference’s across the country.

Lynn Forester Rothschild; a top fund raiser of Democratic Party, and a member of Democrats Abroad, has announced the support of Senator John McCain. She is not alone in her conclusion to Not support Obama, and Ms. Matthew, and other’s believe that the stakes, in the upcoming presidential election are just too high for those who oppose Obama to sit back, and do nothing. Unlike any other time in the nation’s history our country needs experience, and by Obama Not having Hillary on the ticket as his Vice President, or better yet by not simply doing the right thing for God and Country, by instead becoming Hillary’s Vice President Obama has proved that he places self interest and personal success above the real need, and prosperity of this great nation therefore, he simply must be stopped!

Representative's from various states such as: Ohio, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, will be on hand during the press conference and will carry Democracy in Suffrage’s initiative back to the respective states where they will continue to work for its success on Election Day.

* Please help make this a success- we must show up for these events- we must or we will never be taken seriously again and we will loose all credibility! It is from lack of participation that things got this bad- we done good this year so far - please don't let up now- we have come this far- don't give up - don't give out- dont give in!

Huffington Begs For Hillary Now?

Huffington Begs for Hillary!

Another Rant
by BettyJean Kling

The very last place I expected to see a call for Hillary to come to Obama’s aid was from Huffington Post – but there it was!

Why Replacing Biden With Hillary Makes Perfect Sense for Obama
Andy Ostroy
Posted September 14, 2008 09:55 PM (EST)

Hysteria must be setting in as they have ceased their never ending vicious attack on Hillary who has magically become Florence Nightingale on call to the battlefield to save the now wounded chosen one, the so called savior who lies bleeding from the brutal, near fatal blow from the lovely huntress from Alaska.

For ‘the one’ who himself now needs saving from ‘the real one’ the naysayers are now begging his handlers to find a way at all costs and Hillary now looks better and better but alas it is too damned late as far as I am concerned! Wasn’t it the Huffington post and that glib blabbermouth who runs it that were among the worst offenders to run Senator Clinton mercilessly into the ground every chance they got? Wasn’t it she and her fem fatale followers who dug their poison claws into Hillary’s back and tried to scratch her eyes out and wouldn’t hear of having her on the ticket anywhere? I am sure they were! Now they are blathering all over themselves telling Axelrod he had better find a way – as if he gives a rat’s petutty about the orange haired know not much.

BREAKING NEWS ~ DNC member backing McCain

-TOP CLINTON FUNDRAISER, BACKING MCCAIN NOT OBAMA

In an interview during the convention, Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild declared that she loves her country before her party.

WASHINGTON —

John McCain's campaign says the Republican is picking up the support of a top Hillary Clinton fundraiser and member of the Democratic National Committee's Platform Committee. Lynn Forester de Rothschild has said she thinks Democratic nominee Barack Obama is arrogant and has a problem connecting with average Americans.

Rothschild is a member of the DNC's Democrats Abroad chapter and splits her time living in London and New York.

She was one of Clinton's top fundraisers, bringing in more than $100,000 for her presidential campaign. She built a multimillion-dollar telecommunications company before marrying international banker Sir Evelyn de Rothschild.

Rothschild plans to announce her support for McCain on Wednesday in Washington.

McCain's smack down on Morning Joe

- Mika gets smacked by McCain. Good for him. She treated Hillary with disdain during the primaries. And while she mentions that her brother is working for McCain, she didn't mention that her father is an Obama advisor.

Here is more detail on what McCain is referring to

For Immediate Release
September 17, 2008

ARLINGTON, VA -- Today, U.S.
Senator John McCain issued the following statement on the situation in the financial markets and AIG:

"Today, the government was forced to commit $85 billion to stop the collapse of AIG, another in a growing series of events that includes Bear Stearns, Lehman Brothers, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. These actions stem from failed regulation, reckless management, and a casino culture on Wall Street that has crippled one of the most important companies in America. The focus of any such action should be to protect the millions of Americans who hold insurance policies, retirement plans and other accounts with AIG. We must not bailout the management and speculators who created this mess. They had months of warnings following the Bear Stearns debacle, and they failed to act.

"We should never again allow the United States to be in this position. We need strong and effective regulation, a return to job-creating growth and a restoration of ethics and the social contract between businesses and America. Important questions remain to be answered by Wall Street. Did executives mislead investors and regulators about the severity of the problem? We must investigate whether or not there was misrepresentation on part of the company executives. If there was, there must be penalties. We need to change the way Washington and Wall Street does business, and as President I will.

Media Furious At Palin's Popularity

-By Justin Paulette

Today, The New York Times leads with a smear piece entitled, "Once Elected, Palin Hired Friends and Lashed Foes." Likewise, today's Washington Post competes in the ever-further-downward spiral with its own hit piece, "As Mayor of Wasilla, Palin Cut Own Duties, Left Trail of Bad Blood." Cronyism, lashing out, cutting personal duties and a trail of blood.

NRO cites Jen Rubin's criticism of the NYT's hatchet job, finding that the facts hardly warrant the egregious language and condemnatory tone of the article. The Post article supplies even less substance - by it's rationale, every elected official who fills a cabinet with trusted allies is guilty of front-page worthy scandal.

It bears mentioning that the media have allotted absolutely no time to investigating the myriad "scandals" of Obama and Biden. If the Democratic pair were subjected to the same standard of scrutiny, the front pages of every newspaper in America would run for a week in order to capture their many scandals.

The media hates Sarah Palin. They despise her for routing radical feminism, they curse her for boosting McCain in the polls and they condescend her for the conservatism she refuses to remit. They are willing to shamelessly degrade themselves without limit in order to lend support to the Democratic ticket. Today's leading Washington Post article on Obama, even as he rolls out ads which patently lie about McCain, is titled, "Obama Points to the Issues: Ignore Attacks, Democrat Implores."

Were it not for the media's liberal bias and partisan interference, McCain would be leading Obama by twice the current spread. The greatest hindrance to enlightened democracy in America is the ignorance and prejudice promulgated by our media outlets. When every media story is crafted, manipulated or simply invented with an intent to forwarding a particular party or agenda, the free press serves no greater objective than to enslave the free will and reasonable discretion of the voting populace.

Majority of Voters Say Only McCain, Biden Prepared To Be President

-

Sixty-three percent (63%) of voters say John McCain is prepared right now to be president, and 50% say the same thing about Democratic vice presidential candidate Joseph Biden. Forty-four percent (44%) say the man at the top of Biden's ticket, Barack Obama, is ready, but 45% say he isn’t.

Just 26% say McCain is not ready, and 34% feel that way about Biden, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
Over half of voters (52%) say McCain’s running mate, Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, is not prepared to be president, but 33% disagree (crosstabs available for Premium Members).

Among voters not affiliated with either major political party, 71% say McCain is prepared for the Presidency while just 35% say the same about Obama.

The McCain-Obama numbers track roughly with what Rasmussen Reports has been seeing for several months when voters are asked if Obama is too inexperienced to be president. However, the number who viewed Obama as too inexperienced fell to 38% immediately following the Democratic National Convention late last month.

The History of PUMA ~ by Will Bower

The minute the media outlets announced the Iowa Caucus for John Kerry in 2004, I knew what was in store for us that November -- another lofty Democrat would go on to lose the general election to the more approachable Republican.

Since its rise to prominence in 1972, Iowa has done *nothing* to promote success for Democrats in November. The closest the Iowa Caucus has ever come to getting it right was in 1976, when Jimmy Carter came in a distant second to "Uncommitted" -- and, even then, it's not as if Jimmy Carter went on to demonstrate the best that the Democratic Party had to offer in the way of executives.

Let's examine: 1972, Edward Muskie? 1976, Jimmy Carter? 1984, Walter Mondale? 1988, Dick Gephardt? 1992, Tom Harkin? 2004, John Kerry? And, yes... 2008, Barack Obama? And how did our most successful Democratic president since FDR fair? Bill Clinton, 4th place, at 3% (behind even "Uncommitted") in 1992. And yet every four years, both parties bend over backwards to ensure Iowa's primacy in choosing our presidential candidates. Iowan Democrats seem to prefer failure, and the Democratic Party seems to prefer Iowa.

So when I witnessed Barack Obama get an upper hand on the more competent and electable Hillary Clinton in Iowa this past January, I asked myself "How can we free ourselves from this failed process?" So I drafted my "Proposal for the 2012 Primaries"... which is how I came to write for The Huffington Post.

In fact, many of my articles here provide a glimpse into my own evolutionary process this political season -- a process shared by many others -- a collective process that would ultimately break forth virally as the PUMA Movement.

ABC Misrepresents Palin Quote in ‘Holy War’ Question

-Millions of TV viewers who watched ABC News’ interview with Sarah Palin Thursday night never saw her take issue with a key question in which she was asked if she believes that the U.S. military effort in Iraq is “a task that is from God.”

The exchange between Palin and ABC’s Charlie Gibson, in which she questioned the accuracy of the quote attributed to her, was edited out of the television broadcast but included in official, unedited transcripts posted on ABC’s Web site, as well as in video posted on the Internet.

But in the version shown on television, a video clip of her original statement was inserted in place of her objection, giving a different impression of how Palin views the Iraq war.

In the interview, Gibson asked Palin: “You said recently in your old church, ‘Our national leaders are sending U.S. soldiers on a task that is from God.’ Are we fighting a Holy War?”

Palin’s response, which appears... click here to read more

Sarah Palin's third ABC interview

- This leaves no mystery as to where Palin is on issues. The question is, will her personal views affect your vote?

Excerpts from Sarah Palin's third ABC interview

She discusses abortion, gun control, homosexuality and economics.
September 13, 2008

From ABC News' third interview with GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, governor of Alaska; "World News" anchor Charles Gibson interviewed her in Wasilla, Alaska, on Friday.

On Hillary Rodham Clinton:

Gibson: I saw you quoted somewhere as speaking rather admiringly of Mrs. Clinton, Sen. Clinton, during the primary campaign. Do you think Obama should've picked her?

Palin: I think he's regretting not picking her now, I do. What, what determination, and grit, and even grace, through some tough shots that were fired her way -- she handled those well.

On abortion rights:

Gibson: Roe vs. Wade: Do you think it should be reversed?

Palin: I think it should, and I think that states should be able to decide that issue. I am pro-life. I do respect other people's opinion on this also, and I think that a culture of life is best for America. What I want to do, when elected vice president, with John McCain, hopefully, [is] be able to reach out and work with those who are on the other side of this issue. . . .

Gibson: John McCain would allow abortion in cases of rape and incest. Do you believe in it only in the case where the life of the mother is in danger?

Sarah Palin Naked

- Another sexist article that spits nothing but vile at another woman running for high office. Looks to me that Arianna never got her shot at becoming the first lady so she sure as hell is not going to live to see another woman get there.

She said "nucular." Twice.

I realized three things tonight. For one, if you are a McCain/Palin/Bush voter, you and I do not have a difference of opinion. We have a difference in brain power. Two, she really is as ignorant as I feared. And, three, she really is kinda hot. Basically, I want to have sex with her on my Barack Obama sheets while my wife reads aloud from the Constitution. (My wife is cool with this if I promise to "first wipe off Palin's tranny makeup." I married well.)

Now, I want to be clear and speak directly to those of you who LOVED that Palin interview. You're an idiot.

Turning the tables again on Obama’s speech-squelching thugs

- by Michelle Malkin

Just obtained the latest counterpunch from American Issues Project, the independent group running the ad about Bill Ayers that the Obama campaign doesn’t want you to see.

As I’ve pointed out repeatedly over the past few days, Obama’s attempt to bully TV stations airing the ad and stop scrutiny of his radical ties is part and parcel of a larger campaign to chill the free speech of conservative political activists and donors.

AIP sends the same message to the DOJ’s Deputy Assistant Attorney General John Keeney and turns the tables on the Chicago thugs:

Re: Response to August 25, 2008 Letter to DOJ from Obama Presidential Campaign (“Second Letter”)

Dear Mr. Keeney:

Yet again, the Obama for America campaign has sent a letter to you and your office, demanding... click here to read more

Why I’m (Finally) Supporting Sarah Palin

-Why I’m (Finally) Supporting Sarah Palin
by Paulie Abeles

Since John McCain announced Sara Palin as his running mate, like many of you I suspect, I’ve been constantly asked: “What do you think of Sarah Palin?”
The struggle that I’ve been going through in trying to answer that question honestly, is that all the things I find compelling about her:
that she’s attractive and charismatic, has a great personal narrative, is eloquent, a 'breath of fresh air'--yes, even "tokenism" (for lack of a better word)
were also true of Obama. And, I, like many Clinton supporters, decided those were not sufficiently strong reasons to support him.

So, in one sense, I would feel like a hypocrite supporting Palin for any of those reasons.

Although I think she is more experienced than Obama—(She, has, after all, directed a budget of over $10 billion, supervised 24,000 employees and negotiated with foreign governments -Russia and China over fishing rights); she is lightly credentialed in terms of the possible field of socially progressive Republican women McCain could have chosen (Snowe, Whitman, Hutchinson etc.).
And, although I respect her integrity, there is virtually no social issue on which I share common ground with Sarah Palin. Unlike John McCain, who has never been ideological; Sarah Palin is, and unabashedly so.

However as I’ve struggled with these issues since her selection, I keep coming back to two points.
Of all the basic rights—human rights-- that Democrats have stood for---there are two that seem to me to be the most important:
the right to vote (and have that vote counted fairly) and the right to free speech.

The right to vote, it seems to me, is not simply about exercising your franchise—but actually having that exercise tied to a result. Whether we look narrowly at Florida and Michigan, or broadly at caucus and convention intimidation and fraud—what becomes clear—crystal clear—is that the delegates—both in number and composition-- did not accurately represent the ‘will of the people’ that voted for them. And, as a tribute to their organizational skill, if not their integrity, the Obama campaign did everything in their power to ensure that that would be the case.
Just as importantly, throughout the nomination process, the Obama campaign did everything possible to curtail the free speech of those who opposed him. Whether it was as simple as harassing supporters at the local metro, or as brazen as intimidating delegates at state conventions and threatening members of the Black Caucus---opposition to Barack Obama put people at risk—to be taunted, insulted and harassed in a way I’ve never before experienced in a political campaign.

So, I come down to this. Do we believe that the Obama campaign curtailed the freedom of speech of those who opposed him? Do we believe that Clinton’s supporter’s votes were not counted fairly? If we answer ‘yes; as I have answered, than it seems to me that the fact that we disagree with Sarah Palin on reproductive choice, or creationism, or even protecting the Polar Bears—is the human rights equivalent of small potatoes. There are two basic rights that make us a democracy; two essential rights that keep us free. If I have my voice—and my vote—I can work for all the other issues. Without them, I can do nothing.

So, this fall I will vote for John McCain and, yes, Sarah Palin. I will vote as a protest, and as a promise. A protest at what took place; a promise that it will never happen again. I will vote as a democrat.

Lipstick Tales - What do Women Value?

- The Democrats Have Reached A New Low.
by Rockin Robin

I just got an email from Democrats.com asking me to

Tell The Media to Call Sarah Palin a Serial Liar

What? I will do no such thing.

Have we lost our minds? Are they really asking us to partake in the sewage of smearing another woman? Hasn't the media already played their hand in sexism? Now the democrats are asking me to sling mud at another woman?

Did anyone get a note from the republicans asking us to trash Biden?

Yesterday, while campaigning in Virginia, Obama made reference to putting lipstick on a pig then denies to the media that it had any correlation to Sarah Palin's reference to lipstick on a pitbull during her campaign altering speech. Are you kidding me? This comment is rationalized with claims that it was an intended slap at McCain, but again Obama has insulted the intelligence of American women.

Radio host Caplis tells a 20,000 person crowd-"It just seems funny to hear Barack Obama say that he's for equal opportunity for women," Caplis said. "Tell that to Hillary Clinton."

Do you think if Hillary was on the ticket she would appreciate standing next to Obama while he makes that lipstick on pig comment? I surmise he wouldn't have dared to go there.

It blows my mind how the democrats are clinging to their party not even getting that its no longer a democratic party. They are the party that seem to take women for granted. And the womens' issue, which has become the democratic party's signature threat, has ceaselessly been thrown in our faces since Hillary suspended her campaign.

Are women threatened by Palin and her values? Do they think she's going to slip into the white house and tell us all that we have to live according to HER values? Her value are hers. My values are mine. Neither of us are wrong.

Palin and I are the same age. I can relate to the possibility that the woman's movement before us made it difficult for us to navigate our future by pushing us into uncharted waters. Feminist broke ground on women's rights and equality but what that initially looked like for me was that we had to learn how to become a man to survive in the world. Suddenly wearing a tie was fashionable for women.

In light of this, Palin navigated her life according to her values. It may not be what the feminists before her had in mind, but Palin's values are hers and she is not obligated to adhere to feminists' values even though she is a product of their movement.

Likewise... while I appreciate what the feminists have done for women, they do not speak for me on what I value. We may agree on principle, but you cannot force your values onto me. This is where I draw the line.

In an LA Times article dated September 4, Gloria Steinem tears into the republican party and even attacks Palin by saying "Palin's value to those patriarchs is clear: She opposes just about every issue that women support by a majority or plurality." Excuse me? I am tired of this woman telling the world what women value. Steinem has no idea what I value.

Isn't it time for another look at what women value? We may be surprised to find that what we value is the integrity of our feminity. Being a woman is not a weakness. We don't need strap-ons. A woman who is true to herself is powerful. We don't need to fear men or "patriarchs" to stand for something we believe in. And we don't need to tote around the book of "the Art of emasculating men" anymore.

Bottom line, I refuse to vote based on those "matriarchs" spreading fear and hate on behalf of a party that allowed the media and the Obama campaign to stomp on women in the first place. That's like saying to a woman that she must remain in a marriage that abuses her because someone "out there" needs to reserve her right to forego the use of a condom. THAT'S INSANITY.

Therefore, I will not be calling the media to smear a woman who navigated those uncharted waters effectively. I applaud Palin and her value system whether I align with them or not.

Steinem needs to put her pen down and listen to the 18 million voices that did not get heard, then speak from there.

Womens' rights vs. Womens' rights ~ choose.

BEST SELLING AUTHOR INTERESTED IN WRITING SARAH PALIN MEMIOR

(Huntsville AL) New York Times #1 bestselling author Homer Hickam, universally known for his classic memoir ROCKET BOYS (which became the major motion picture OCTOBER SKY starring Jake Gyllenhaal) has expressed interest in helping to write the memoir of Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin.

"After watching Governor Palin's acceptance speech at the Republican National Convention, I'm convinced her story is one the entire country...and the whole world...wants to hear," said Hickam from his Huntsville, Alabama home.

Hickam recently completed work on the memoir of Anousheh Ansari, the self made multi-millionaire Iranian-American who became the first Iranian in space, as well as the first self-funded woman to fly to the International Space Station in 2006. That book is slated for release in 2009.

Hickam added, "Governor Palin's unique life story that has taken her from being a small town Alaskan woman to now a new force in the American political system is sure to inspire millions of people the world over. Of course, I'd love to help tell her story, one of grit, determination, and fortitude in the face of vast odds. It would be the memoir of someone who is like no other political figure alive today, an authentic and intriguing woman who has steadfastly stuck to her values and done things her own way. I'll give her the best compliment I can: She is a true Rocket Girl!"

Hickam's Washington, DC media firm Allen Media Strategies as well as his New York City based literary agent Frank Weimann of The Literary Group are in contact with Palin's representatives about putting Hickam and Palin together for her memoir. She has also been invited to this year's OCTOBER SKY FESTIVAL Saturday October 4th in the author's hometown of Coalwood, West Virginia. "It would be an honor to have Governor Palin as our special guest," Hickam said. "Small town West Virginia folks have an awful lot in common with small town Alaska folks, so I bet she'd fit right in."

The inspirational coming of age memoir ROCKET BOYS has become an American classic, and is one of the most read books in schools around the world, having been translated into dozens of languages. Hickam's most recent release RED HELMET (Thomas Nelson 2008) is set in the modern day coalfields of West Virginia.
