How can Democrats, who ridiculed Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin as an inexperienced political wannabe, now embrace the idea of elevating Caroline Kennedy -- who hasn't served a day in public office -- to Hillary Clinton's New York Senate seat? How, indeed, can the same "progressives" who opposed Clinton's election as president because they were repelled by the notion of extending the "Clinton dynasty" now be keen on perpetuating the Kennedy dynasty through an appointment?

The New Agenda, the only women's group to ask for Jon Favreau's job after he demonstrated unspeakably offensive sexual behavior was admonished by CNN’s James Carville calling them insane for making it a bid deal. The next day they backed down , we saw this as gang rape scene against a cutout of Hillary and are enraged that The New Agenda buckled at 4 months old!

I just got home from a grueling 10 hour emergency room event with my daughter. I had nothing more on my mind than my baby all day. I finally got her tucked in and decided to check my email and try to ease my mind and find a friendly email or something soothing when I get this email from Brave New Foundation! It made me want to riffle through her medicine bag for some drugs- is there no peace for the weary – not a moment of peace?

I could hardly believe my ears this morning! I sat up in bed scratched my head, wiped the cookies out of the corners of my eyes, and shook the cobwebs out then digested the words I heard again. Could he possibly have said what I think he said? Did that man really say that they overwhelmingly passed a new county holiday in Alabama in honor of electing a black president which proved we can elect a president without concern for race or color. I stumbled over to the computer and Goggled the words “Barack Obama Day” and there is was!

ERA IS within our reach!

Idella Moore is founder and Executive Officer of a national, single-issue, non-partisan organization whose mission is to finish ratification of the Equal Rights Amendment. This amendment would guarantee legal equality to men and women and should it be ratified it would become only the second constitutional guarantee for women. The only other right that women are explicitly guaranteed in the Constitution is the right to vote.

Idella's support for the Equal Rights Amendment began in the 1970's but it was in the early 1980s, while a student at Florida State University, that she became an active grassroots participant during the last intense efforts to get Florida to ratify the ERA. Like millions of others, Idella was devastated that the amendment was not ratified by the deadline, June 30, 1982.

It was in protest of that ratification that Idella moved to England in 1982 and remained there for the next decade and a half. She and her family returned to the US in the late 1990's but it wasn't until 2002 that she learned there was a renewed campaign to ratify the ERA. Within a few months, she formed 4ERA.org. Initially founded as a Georgia group, because of overwhelming demand, a year later hers became a national organization. It is the only, national single issue ERA membership organization. It now has an online membership representing men and women in 49 states, from all political parties and across all age groups.

Idella does a great deal of research and writing about the ERA and gives presentations to organizations at the local, state, regional and national levels. Today, hers is either leading, guiding or giving technical and advocacy assistance to campaigns in 13 of the ERA unratified states.

Idella holds a BA in Philosophy and an MA in history. She is the mother of a 16 year old daughter and lives in Smyrna, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.

I Voted for Democracy Today

All week long, I have been loosing readers in droves- about 47 this week. A few women decided Sarah was no Hillary therefore I was stabbing Hillary in the back It was not I that stabbed Hillary in the back it was the Democrat Party did that!
Several wrote and said I can not become a Republican – take me off your list RIGHT NOW! I said– please reconsider – “I did not leave my Party – they left me I do not have a Democrat to vote for this year.”

They even demanded that the stations stop running our TV ad.
As you know, we at the Republican National Trust PAC are spearheading the effort to expose Obama as the radical he is and defeat him on Election Day.

I don’t care what side of the aisle your politics is on this is not right and we all damned well know it! First they attacked Hillary mercilessly and now Sarah. Your daughters are next!

It is time to say no more! It is time to say this is not the way to disagree! It is time to say we deserve respect and demand this stop immediately. If we are able to make it politically incorrect to abuse everyone else why allow this abuse of women? We are being desensitized to this type of abuse- will your daughters be next? Is this what you want them to face? Is this ok? Do you want them growing up to think it is ?

. Obama’s Desperation is Showing

I was about to turn off my computer and get some sleep tonight when I saw a message come in that made my skin crawl. I just could not believe my eyes. I tried to leave it till tomorrow but it just kept nagging at me.

I closed the outlook and started to move away but I just couldn’t stop thinking about the subject line that read “Run the Hate Talk Express Off the Road” I have seen some vicious subject lines before and I have heard some vicious remarks such as “Get in their faces” but “Run the Hate Talk Express Off the Road” smacks of a direct threat to John McCain’s bus and very life!
